The Voxfrock Rookie crew is a mentoring programme for emerging fashion journalists and photographers run in Melbourne for eight years by veteran fashion editor Janice Breen Burns and legendary shooter Monty Coles. The programme was recently joined to the FashLab mentoring project.
Voxfrock and FashLab are extremely proud of their many rookie graduates who have forged stellar careers as writers, photographers, producers and fashion industry creatives. Among them, Andy Tran and Reannon Smith also crewed and were generously mentored in the arts of fashion photography by Sonny Vandevelde.
Applications for the next intake of Voxfrock Rookies who will be coached through coverage of Melbourne Fashion Week 2024 runways and independent events as journalist/photographer crews, are now open. Send a short bio and three examples of your writing or photography to Janice Breen Burns at contact.fashlab@gmail.com.
